Awarded as a finalist in the 2011 ABIA bridal awards, Kari is a professional marriage celebrant on the Sunsine Coast in Queensland, delivering only the highest standards in her work. A quick browse through “The Five Diamond Celebrant“ criteria prepared by one of Australia’s original celebrants, Dally Messenger, will inform you on what to expect from a truly professional wedding celebrant, and possibly what to avoid in a marriage celebrant. Your first choice for a quality marriage celebrant must be someone who listens, who responds and who can deliver a quality wedding ceremony.

“I draw on all my life skills to assit you in creating the perfect Wedding ceremony. Practising as an Australian government regisitered civil marriage celebrant has given me the most rewarding moments of my career. I see many happy occasions.

Choosing a wedding celebrant is as important as other aspects of your wedding day, in fact it will set the tone of your wedding. I realise that couples need to feel comfortable with their marriage celebrant. You need to be sure that I will listen to your wishes for your perfect wedding, follow through on the paperwork and legal requirements, yet be there to guide you when you run out of ideas for your wedding ceremony. I aim to walk beside you while we plan your marriage ceremony together. That to me is the role of a good marriage celebrant. Deciding to marry is a big step in life. Designing the way you marry is an important expression of who you are, together and as individuals. It can be all you want it to be, without costing the earth. Your wedding begins with two people, it continues with many plans; the place, the guests, the family, the wedding dress, the decorations, the look, but it's the feel that you'll remember.

I have a genuine passion for my work as a wedding celebrant on the Sunshine Coast. I begin writing each ceremony with a fresh canvas, to give you a unique and truly personalised marriage ceremony, with a real difference. I spend time talking with you to find out who you are and what draws you both together, and what decided you to marry with an official wedding ceremony.

On the Sunshine Coast we have so many delightful places for a gorgeous wedding. Be it barefoot on one of the coast’s many splendid beaches, or a stroll under the bamboo on a private farm, or even under the shade of a rainforest rree in the national parks, there are so many locations for the perfect wedding. I have married couples under 100 year old trees, beside the lake on the family property, amongst the sculptures of the Botanic Gardens. The Sunshine Coast in South East Queensland offers so many locations, it can be hard to choose.

I offer an advisory service to couples in choosing their location. I have lived here for 18 years, and raised my son. We have spent many happy hours exploring the Sunshine Coast and all it has to offer; spent walking, discovering and experiencing the many delightul places that draw people to the Sunshine Coast for a special occasion. It is a wedding haven, a romantic retreat, and a place to make your wedding into a weekend holiday for your family and guests.

Discover a wedding location on the fine beaches and parks of Noosa, along the dozens of coastal beaches down past Coolum, Mudjimba, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, and Kawana to Caloundra. Or make a country wedding come true in the treed hinterland district and towns of The Range: Palmwoods, Woombye, Montville, Maleny, Mapleton, Witta, Connondale and Kenilworth. Sunshine Coast wedding ceremony locations abound. Island Weddings are also possible. I will travel to Stradbroke Island, Fraser Island and all the Brisbane Islands on request. I have travelled to New South Wales to a country property, and north towards Bundaberg.

And there are several quality wedding reception venues to choose from. There is the lavish, opulant and all frills venue. There is the casual, relaxed, family oriented and family run venue. You can choose from the classic, the tradtional, the lavish, the historic, the laid back and the formal; and everything in between. Tell me your pefect vison and I’ll be happy to recommend a Wedding reception venue or two for you to inspect. I get no kickbacks, just the pleasure of telling you about the best. I love to share my love of this place.

My specialised service offers brides and grooms the best in ceremony advice, ideas, and personalised writing.

I have achieved the highest qualification possible for my profession as an Australian registered civil marriage celebrant. Some celebrants get by on the minimum. I choose to take advantage of every opportunity to learn more and raise my standards. My professional and educational qualifications include a Batchelor of Arts at Melbourne University, an Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts, a Certificate IV in Celebrancy, registration with the Attorney General as a civil marriage celebrant, and the Edgeware Small Business Course recognised by TAFE Queensland. I regularly undertake professional development and have an extensive library of resources and relevant texts.

So let me know what your wishes are. Do you vision a beach wedding in thongs? Do you want to be married on your surf boards? Would you like to jump from a plane and land in a heart drawn on the sand ready for your wedding ceremony? Do you see yourself married under an arbour? Would you prefer to wed in a gazebo or cottage veranda? How about under a white canopy with Balinese flags along the side? Perhaps you’d like to emerge from the bamboo grove, soft under foot as you walk down the leafy aisle on the arm of your parents? Maybe you picture a wedding picnic on the freshly mown grass with sculpted gardens surrounding you. Perhaps you are a nature lover, and wish for a rainforest retreat wedding or a ceremony in the national park. Would you like a creative ceremony, a totally unique experience for you and your guests? Would you like assistance to create a ritual especially yours?

Let’s talk about your wedding ceremony.
